Specifically cleaves single-stranded RNA at the 3′ end of pyrimidine residues. Active over a wide range of conditions. Used in plasmid and genomic DNA preparations, ribonuclease protection assays, RNA removal from recombinant protein preparations, and single-base mutation mapping.
